Evergreen Brick Works

Toronto, ON

Features: Probably half of my engagement sessions happen here. Comprised of distinctive industrial buildings, a quarry garden, surrounded by parkland. If you have the dough, enquire about getting a permit to photograph in the buildings (old brick, arches, graffiti – really cool!) HIGH PARK

Toronto, ON

Features: Incredible gardens and a wonderful pond. Nearly all of my family portrait sessions in Toronto happen here. It has that classic park feel and reminds me a lot of Central park in New York City. Distillery District

Features: historic distillery built in 1832. Cobblestone streets, narrow alleyways, and old brick buildings make a unique background for interesting photos. My wife and I got married here partially because of the photographic opportunities. Location: Mill St. (Between Parliament St. and Cherry St.) Permit: $150.00 for core area. In/Around is free. Edwards Gardens Conservatory

Toronto, ON

Features: This is the classic wedding park in Toronto, with a large fountain, a staircase, walking trails, gardens, bridges, and botanical gardens. That said, your photographs here don’t have to end up looking traditional. There is probably a reason photographers have been coming here for 50+ years. Osgoode Hall

Toronto, ON

Features: A stunning 1800’s historic building, with colourful manicured gardens, cobblestone pathways and ornate iron fencing. Location: Queen and University Streets Permit: No permit required, however, be sure there are no events or filming scheduled. P.S. you are not allowed to take any photographs inside the building.
